Blue Lake Residence
A small town nestled in the hills of northern California is the site for this 1200sqft home. The client, fond of a modern rustic aesthetic requested a simple home with a lofted art studio. The gable roof allows for double height in the public spaces and a loft above the private space.
The house will feature a continuous insulation layer throughout the walls and roof as well as high-performance windows with the hope of adding solar in the future. The moderate climate allows for a minimal heat load with fresh air ventilation being the primary cooling element in the summer.
This project is currently in construction documentation phase and we hope to break ground Summer of 2018.
